Final DCT Logos

Here are the re edited logos. There are a lot of little changes but nothing major. The colors are all about the same but few a few changes of saturation and brightness. And to reinforce the changes in font size there are also changes in brightness.

Design & Communication Technology Family Logo

I wanted my design to look modern, on the edge and bold. So I choose bold colors and a simple, but modern combination mark using the same symbol mark for each logo and common style Wordmark.

The first logo was for the head of the department. I tried to make the DCT acronym stand out but at the same time, I wanted people who had never heard of the program to know exactly what it was about. So I spelled out all the words except for the &.

The next logo was for CGT. I again wanted the CGT acronym to stand out and I wanted to use a bold color and spell out the name of the program. Also. the word Graphics is in slightly larger font so it would stand out that this is the graphics program

The next logo was ART. This was a little hard to make the ART stand out so I chose to enlarge the R to show the ART but still have the name of the program so new people to the program wouldn't think it was an art program. I also wanted a bold color and I choose blue because of the ARTs use of blue prints.

The next logo was Interior Design Technology or INTR. While I could have pulled out the INTR in interior I choose not to because I wanted the emphasis to fall on the Design and Technology aspects so instead I made the font of Interior smaller than the Design and Technology.

The last logo is for TCM Technical Communications. In this one I had the font of Technical larger than Communications because I want to emphasize why it wasn't and English or Speech class. I also wanted to show the TCM so i made the first m in communication slightly larger than the other letters.
